Patrick J. O’Brien was born and raised in Philadelphia, with his family’s roots reaching back to Ireland. Mr. O’Brien had a great love of life and enjoyed every minute of it, as he was a true free spirit. He was a war veteran, having served in the Vietnam War as pilot for the Air Force. Mr. O’Brien loved sailing on his boat and taking his kids out to sail and enjoy the ocean breeze, and, at night, sleeping together on board. Some of the family’s favorite memories were the many happy summers in Cape May, N.J.
