At their annual Christmas party on Dec. 16, Triune Council #2052 of the Knights of Columbus in Pearl River again showed their commitment to protect all human life by presenting generous Christmas gifts to organization who work in behalf of the unborn, mothers and children in need of help, school children, the orphaned, the sick, and the disabled.
Grand Knight John Rio made the presentations to The Rockland Right to Life Committee, Birthright of Rockland, The Rockland Catholic Coalition, the Good Counsel Home in Spring Valley, the Fisher House Foundation, Providence Home, and St. Margaret’s and St. Anthony’s schools.
Providence Home is an orphanage run by the Little Servants of Divine Providence Charitable Society in Kerala State, India. Many of the children taken in by the sisters are handicapped or had been abandoned because they had birth defects.
Past Grand Knight Chet Nawoichyk described Fischer House as a Ronald McDonald House for the military. It provides nearby housing for military families when a loved one is hospitalized for illness, disease, and injury.

Support Bill to Stop Abortion of Pain-Capable Unborn
DEMAND THAT THE US SENATE VOTE
ON PROTECTING PAIN-CAPABLE UNBORN CHILDREN
WASHINGTON (November 12, 2013) — At a press conference on November 7, I joined U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) in announcing introduction of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (S. 1670) in the U.S. Senate.
This bill would protect unborn children from abortion, nationwide, beginning at 20 weeks fetal age, based on scientific evidence that by this stage of development (if not earlier), the baby will experience excruciating pain when subjected to typical late abortion procedures. This is the most important single pro-life bill to be proposed in Congress since the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act was enacted ten years ago.
This new bill (S. 1670) is based directly on the model legislation crafted by National Right to Life, which has already been enacted in 10 states. With strong backing from National Right to Life, a virtually identical bill (H.R. 1797) has already passed the U.S. House of Representatives. Now, it is time to demand that the U.S. Senate vote on this landmark legislation. But that won’t happen without your help. Continue reading

These blessings include children that were scheduled to be aborted over these past 40 days … who are now alive because of your prayers and witness. I want to personally thank you for all of your sacrifices on behalf of those who are unable to speak for themselves.
