On Sunday, Nov. 4, the 40 Days of Life vigil came to a close. The organizers have prepared this tribute for all who came to pray for life this autumn.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.

Finally, Day 40 — God gave us a sunny, cold day to our 40 Day witness of prayer and fasting outside Planned Parenthood in Spring Valley. There are hundreds of people to thank.
So many prayers from the depth of our souls have been prayed.

And to the many, many others who kept witness throughout these 40 days, trusting that, as Thomas Merton wrote, “the real hope, then, is not in something we think we can do but in God, who is making something good out of it in some way we cannot see.” God bless you — and thank you all.
