THE MARCH FOR LIFE — A NEW HOPE

Just borrowing the title of the original “Star Wars” movie here, but a wave of “new hope” will be buoying our marchers along the parade route at the 42nd annual March for Life in Washington, DC, on Jan. 27.

The November election brought us not only prolife majorities in both the House and Senate, but a prolife president and administration that could alter the abortion landscape and roll back many of the pro-abortion moves of the previous years.

power-of-oneThat’s not to say there won’t be lots of work to do. But the theme of this year’s march is “The Power of One,” the celebration of each and every one of us — and our power to bring change and to save lives. And you’ll feel that empowerment surging through you as you stand up for life with thousands of others from across America at largest prolife event in the world, the March for Life.

If you’ve never attended a March for Life before, we invite you to come. If you’ve been away for a few years, please make it back for this one! If you’re one of those who go so often you have your name engraved on the back of your bus seat, you know the drill:

We leave Rockland around 6 am — early, to avoid the traffic jams. You can safely leave your car in the parking lot of our departure point, St. Francis Church (9 Parrott Rd. West Nyack, 10994). The buses are comfortable and have lavatories. We’ll stop at a rest stop on the way down and back. But remember, you’ll be outdoors and on your feet most of the day. So be sure to dress warm, in layers. Bring some food for the bus and a snack for the March.

The group will travel together, led by experienced Marchers. At the end of the March, we’ll go to the beautiful Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, by taxi or subway. There you’ll be able to warm up, grab something to eat in the cafeteria, and attend mass if you like. Our bus will pick us up here. We’ll leave DC around 6 pm, and should be home by 11.

Right now, we’re planning on just one bus — plus one for the students of Albertus Magnus High School. So please get your reservations in asap as seating will be limited. However, if we see that we’re getting a lot of calls, we’ll do our best to procure a second bus.

Hope to See You There!

WE WILL BE PUBLISHING UPDATES OF OUR PLANS AND MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE MARCH AS IT COMES IN. PLEASE KEEP CHECKING BACK.
